OTTAWA CHARGE

As Team Video Production Manager for the Ottawa Charge, I have conceptualized, produced, and edited various projects for broadcast television, in-arena videoboard, and social media usage.
Pregame Introduction Videos
This video introduced fans to the Ottawa Charge in the team’s first season with
their new identity. As the team had yet to play a game in their new jerseys, this video
solely relies on media day footage to excite audiences before puck drop.
I developed shot lists and a paper edit for this video before media day, filmed with
15+ athletes in one day, with a 15-minute window per subject, and enhanced the
footage that I captured on media day with various visual effects to create the engaging
end product shown here.
This video introduces the Ottawa Charge to their fans before playoff games during the team’s first ever playoff appearance. When conceptualizing this video, I planned to use three different kinds of footage - game action, power poses, and city scenics - combined with electricity assets in line with Ottawa Charge branding to create an attention-grabbing video that fits the team’s identity.
After developing a paper edit for this video, I went into downtown Ottawa to capture city scenics that distinctly represent the nation’s capital while also aligning themselves with the team’s electric brand. I then used game action and fan footage that I have captured throughout the PWHL season, as I filmed all Ottawa Charge home and away games, to piece together an introduction video that recaps the best moments of the regular season that was, aligns the Charge with Ottawa as a city, and energizes audiences for playoff hockey.
CINEMATIC RECAPS
This video recaps the Ottawa Charge’s first home game of the 2024-25 PWHL Season. This game was the first game that the team played in front of home fans with their new identity.
The video tells the story of the game from a distinctly new perspective. It captures the energizing atmosphere of the game through curated storytelling with commentary and in-arena audio alongside exclusive access and camera angles unseen on television.
This video follows the Ottawa Charge on their final road trip of 2024, during which
the team executed the most impactful trade in the history of the PWHL. I blended
footage that I captured of the team in-transit, at practice, and during games with
game commentary audio and player interviews which I conducted to tell the story
of this pivotal moment in the team’s season.

MIC’D UP VIDEOS
This video features two Ottawa Charge players, Alexa Vasko and Logan Angers,
as they “job shadow” some of the firefighters from Ottawa Fire ahead of the
team’s Women In Uniform game.
For this video I operated multiple synchronized cameras, both remote and actively
controlled, along with multiple audio sources simultaneously in order to get ideal
coverage of the events. I utilized three cameras and three audio sources to capture
Alexa and Logan challenging some of Ottawa Fire’s female firefighters to a shootout.
The players then elevated over 80 feet in the air in a fire ladder bucket and sprayed
pylons down with a fire hose, which I captured with two cameras and three audio sources.
The video was presented in it’s entirety on YouTube and cut down into multiple
two minute segments for usage on broadcast television and in-arena videoboards.
This video follows star goalie Emerance Maschmeyer through a full game day
as the Ottawa Charge take on the New York Sirens. The video offers fans
exclusive access to the team by letting them hear how one of the most beloved
players on their team thinks, communicates, and plays the game, while recapping
the team’s first-ever overtime victory from this unique perspective.
